HR Business Partner

£37.39p per hour – PAYE

£47.27p per hour – UMBRELLA

Full Time

6 Month Contract Initially

Bristol – 2 days a week onsite

 

Our Local Authority Client is looking for a HR Business Partner to join their busy team on an contractual basis.

 

Key Job Outcomes:

  • Build strong professional working relationships with clients, colleagues, trade unions and staff-led groups.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, helping senior leaders make informed decisions and promote best practice in people management.
  • Support the implementation of change management, using data and research to inform strategic direction.
  • Engage with leaders to drive equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) efforts, working to create an inclusive workforce.
  • Support and challenge in leadership discussions, sometimes in face of significant resistance, to improve decision-making.
  • Coach and influence senior leaders to consider the ethical impact of their decisions, taking a visible lead in solving employee relations and ethical dilemmas.

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience working within a Local Authority - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience of Trade Union Negotiations in a Local Authority/Public Sector Environment - ESSENTIAL
  • Possession of Chartered MCIPD status or equivalent qualifications.
  • Extensive senior-level experience in HR and Organizational Development within a heavily unionized setting, including significant expertise in consulting and negotiating modifications to employment terms and conditions.
  • The capacity to swiftly establish robust working relationships across all levels is essential.
  • Familiarity with both the Green and Red Books is required.
  • A proactive and strategic approach, with the foresight to identify and address potential challenges.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities to motivate and nurture your team while ensuring performance and accountability are maintained.
  • A comprehensive understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), along with a proven history of promoting inclusivity within organizations.
  • Experience in leveraging data and digital tools to enhance decision-making and improve services.
  • Experience working within a Local Authority.
