Our Public Sector client is looking to recruit a HR Specialist Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract as part of their Equality, HR and Employability Team.

Your main role will be to:

  • Support, guide and coach Directors, Managers and stakeholders to ensure EDI considerations are built into all employment processes / practices and service delivery
  • Recommend, implement and evaluate EDI initiatives
  • Other EDI advice, guidance and support across the business
  • Support the delivery of the EDI Strategy
  • Work with colleagues in HR and OD to develop assurance processes
  • Ensure policies and processes are legally compliant and reflect good practice
  • Create local information resource in relation to EDI and promote the EDI agenda
  • Support policy development

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:


  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion EDI in the workforce and community
  • Managing sensitive caseloads and achieving positive outcomes
  • Ideally CIPD Qualified or equivalent experience (HR Business Partner, HR Advisor, HR Manager, etc)
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Motivating others
  • Developing policies and processes in a HR setting
  • Ability to understanding and translate complex information to others
  • Leading on HR initiatives
  • Knowledge of employment law
