Description
Our Public Sector client is looking to recruit a HR Specialist Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract as part of their Equality, HR and Employability Team.
Your main role will be to:
- Support, guide and coach Directors, Managers and stakeholders to ensure EDI considerations are built into all employment processes / practices and service delivery
- Recommend, implement and evaluate EDI initiatives
- Other EDI advice, guidance and support across the business
- Support the delivery of the EDI Strategy
- Work with colleagues in HR and OD to develop assurance processes
- Ensure policies and processes are legally compliant and reflect good practice
- Create local information resource in relation to EDI and promote the EDI agenda
- Support policy development
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion EDI in the workforce and community
- Managing sensitive caseloads and achieving positive outcomes
- Ideally CIPD Qualified or equivalent experience (HR Business Partner, HR Advisor, HR Manager, etc)
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders
- Motivating others
- Developing policies and processes in a HR setting
- Ability to understanding and translate complex information to others
- Leading on HR initiatives
- Knowledge of employment law
