Our Government Client is looking for an Senior Software Developer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.

Skills and Experience

Experience:

• Extensive knowledge of Python programming language
• Agile & ITIL Foundation level / relevant experience;
• Microsoft/Linux role-based certification and any relevant product certifications;
• Knowledge of database concepts, object and data modelling techniques and design principles and of database architectures, software and facilities;
• Substantial experience in relevant roles, including technologies in an enterprise environment, and of working within a secure environment;

Technologies Required Experience:

• Python 3.10 or higher
• Linux/Ubuntu/Debian/Red Hat
• SAN/backup Storage
• VMware platforms
• TCP/IP Network Knowledge

Skills:

• Data engineering and manipulation;
• Testing;
• Prototyping;
• Asset and configuration management;
• User-centred design;
• Analyse, interrogate and evaluate data;
• Draft/author professional/technical documents;
• Interpret professional/technical documents;
• Lead in a matrix structure;

Candidates submitted for this role must be British nationals, and be able to confirm:

• They are a British citizen
• They have been a resident in the UK for at least two of the last five years

Due to the nature of this requirement, UK Government Security Clearance if not already held

will need to be obtained.

The minimum Security Clearance required for this role is SC.
